Experience two different sides of Beijing  in one relaxed half-day tour: discover the traditions of Chinese tea at a  local tea house, then explore Beijing's lively markets with your private  English-speaking guide.

Airport or Hotel Pickup

Your private English-speaking driver & private car will pick you up from Beijing PEK airport according to your flight or from your hotel in Beijing. After a short introduction to the day's activities, we'll head to a traditional local tea house.

Traditional Chinese Tea Tasting

Approximately 30–40 minutes

Relax in a traditional tea house and  learn about Chinese tea culture while tasting several varieties of tea.

Depending on availability and season,  you may taste:

• Green Tea – such as Longjing (Dragon Well), known for its fresh, light and slightly sweet flavor.

• Jasmine Tea – a classic Beijing favorite, traditionally scented with jasmine flowers and often enjoyed in everyday life.

• Oolong Tea – such as Tieguanyin, with a more complex aroma and flavor.

• Black Tea – smooth, fragrant and naturally sweet, offering a different style from green tea.

• Pu-erh Tea – a fermented tea with a deeper, earthy character and a long history in Chinese tea culture.

Your tea host will explain how different  teas are produced, how to brew them, and how to appreciate their aroma, color  and taste.

Tea shopping is optional. If you find a  tea you enjoy, your driver can help you compare varieties and communicate  with the tea seller.

Drive to the Shopping Area

Travel comfortably by private vehicle to  Beijing's local shopping markets.

Your driver can also discuss what you are  interested in buying and help you plan your shopping time.

Beijing Market Shopping

Approximately 2–2.5 hours

Explore one or more of Beijing's popular  markets according to your interests and available time.

Hongqiao Pearl Market

Also known as Beijing Pearl Market,  Hongqiao Market is well known for pearls and jewelry, while also offering a  variety of other shopping categories.

You may look for:

• Freshwater pearl necklaces, earrings and bracelets

• Pearl pendants and jewelry

• Jade and traditional-style accessories

• Silk scarves and clothing

• Chinese souvenirs and handicrafts

• Bags, wallets and other accessories

• Small gifts for family and friends

• Electronics and travel accessories

Your driver can help with communication,  comparing products and bargaining, while allowing you plenty of independent  shopping time.

Tianya Market / Other Local Markets

Depending on your shopping interests and  the day's schedule, the tour can also include another local market or  shopping area.

Possible items include:

• Chinese souvenirs

• Silk products

• Traditional handicrafts

• Clothing and accessories

• Jewelry and small gifts

• Local decorative items

• Small travel gifts for family and friends

The shopping route is flexible. You can  spend more time at the market that interests you most rather than rushing through several locations.

Airport or Hotel Drop-Off

After shopping, your private driver will  take you back to your hotel or another convenient location in Beijing.

Things to know:
A. Openning hours of Pearl Market: 10:00-19:30 Daily/ Tea House opens from 8am to 6pm.
B. Counting from the meet at the airport and drop-off back to the airport  again, the whole trip will last for 4-5 hours or so. Plus the time (2 hours)  to get out of airport, and the time to catch flight(2 hours), so it require 8-10  hours between the two flight to make this trip happen.
C. Any cancelation would be made on travel date due to any unexpected reasons  such as flight delay or visa issue, the prepaid tour charge will not be  refunded.
D. Luggage will usually go with your connect flight to the destination. If  you will have to carry them, you may have them locked in our car; it will be  no problem.
